Soft material gaskets can be used for a wide range of applications. The basis for this is provided by the many different material qualities which can be matched to each particular application. Soft material gaskets are made of a composite material (fibres, fillers, binders) and are available in a thickness range between 0.20 and 2.50 mm. Use of soft material gaskets is however restricted to locations which are not subjected to a high thermal load.
